This Ming dynasty plate features several loose illustrations done in the classic blue and white style. It has a circular foot which converges inwards towards the base. It’s well is decorated with an illustration of two deer which move across a lined field. A sunflower can be seen between them and a tree (shaded blue) behind them. The interior walls are decorated with two dragons whose bodies curve against blue lines which act as borders for the interior wall pattern. The exterior wall has a five dotted motif which is repeated five times with several irregularities. The underside of the foot is gritty with sand which can be seen speckled throughout the pieceD:7.8 by 1.5 in (19.81 by 3.67 cm) Condition: in good condition with some expected glaze flake to the rim
