Description
Translation provided by Youdao
This famille rose jar was made in the late 18th or early 19th ce. Its lid features four illustrative scenes against a gold background which is patterned with green vines and butterflies. the vessel has the same border seen accompanying the horizontal imagery on the lid. They too rest on a gold background accompanied by vines. The four images alternate between a bird and narrative motif which features the same figures seen on the lid. The bird motif also seems to account for time as the birds positioning varies in each frame while the background remains fairly static. H: 6 IN.(15.2 cm) Condition: appears to be in good condition with expected scratch and enamel wear
