Chinese Ming Dynasty Wanli blue & white porcelain ink ware. Lidded ink ware cast into shaped rectangle body, thick potted, slight dome rim straight to wide opening rectangle, raised with flaring flat foot base. All reserved in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue color. The main body and the up side decorated with snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a dark brown color dragon squama surrounded the bowl chasing flaming pearl amidst flames, enclosed with double fine blue rings lines. The foot base rim festooned with flying horse above thrashing Lishui wavy water among flame vapor. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
