Of circular shape, cast in two separate sections, each disk originally encasing a paper lantern within the central field now void, the top cover with a border of openwork, embossed and ridged roundels interspersed with drop-shaped medallions filled with stylised rosettes, the lateral hinges once used for a loop handle, the lower cover with spiralling openwork decoration,
