A PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE ALTAR ORNAMENTS
Each altar ornament is enamelled in bright tones and is topped with a circular openwork medallion enclosing one of the Eight Buddhist Emblems (bajixiang) - one a conch and the other a parasol. All balanced on a lotus pod and flower raised on a stem of chevrons flanked by openwork curling leaves. The domed base is decorated with a lappet band. Each base is enamelled turquoise with an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
