A gold mount or belt stiffener comprising a D-section tapering bar with ribbed finials, two lateral D-shaped flanges each with circular void, flanked by lateral bars with two voids and tendril detailing; two attachment lugs to the reverse. The Beneficiarius was a specially-commissioned soldier whose duties would include undertaking a specific role such as military police. The insignia included a disc with spikes and two circular holes, shown on a military altar.
