1st-2nd century AD. A bronze finger ring with slender hoop, ellipsoid bezel with intaglio sphinx(?) flanked by serpents. Cf. Ruseva-Slokoska, L. Roman Jewellery, Sofia, 1991, item 233. 4.6 grams, 21mm overall, 17.96mm internal diameter (approximate size British P, USA 7 1/2, Europe 16.23, Japan 15) (3/4").
