A pair of Eastern Roman amber pendants with incised crosses: one a Latin cross inside an oval shield, an undistinguished pattern to the reverse; a Greek cross with doubled arms, inscribed within a hexagonal frame; the pendants would have been worn as protection against the evil eye. 5.63 grams total, 24-29mm (1").
