EXTRAORDINARY VERY RARE and Chinese Qing Dynasty. Potted tall cylinder- shaped, the candle sticks have narrow mouths and long necks. Underneath the neck, they have a round dish and a small flattened spherical belly resting on a bell-shaped foot with a foot ring, overall a gilt bronze color tone, raised supported upon a bell-shaped prominent foot. The exterior delicately decorated in high reliefs of the imperial five-clawed dragons borne from turbulent cresting waves, the dragons detailed with ferocious faces and scaly bodies, revealing its tongue flicked up between sharp fangs, writhing amongst stylized clouds and flame wisps surrounded with fumes clouds, interlocking ruyi and flames. With a blazing pearl looms at the center of the moon flask beneath the dragons gaze. The foot base carved of phoenix tail surrounded the foot fillet and a six Chinese calligraphy seal mark, enclosed with gilt rectangle line. Dimensions: (Tallest in set): 19-3/4" H x 9-1/8" Diam.
