Superb, Chinese Qing Dynasty, carved jade Buddha hand Citroen jade. Finely open work carved Chinese Jade recumbent Buddha's hand citron, ripe Buddha's hand Citroen shape with deep carved overlaying of stems and foliage on the exterior, which the hollowed interior left smooth, on its branching stem and leaves which overlay the Buddha's hand Citroen, crouching PiXue amidst scrolling ruyi clouds. The Buddha's hand citron (Citrus Chirocarpus) derives its Chinese name fo Shou and the alternative English name of "Finger Citron" from its odd shape. It symbolizes "Much Happiness" and is used as an offering for the altar during the Chinese New Year. The jade shows white color with pale-celadon hues, moist slickly appearance and clean even tone translucent, exquisite and detail, the jade stone have clean tone, with pale-celadon iridescent and moist milky appearance. Notes: Jade, as a stone, has five virtues. Its glossiness and warmth is like benevolence.
