A BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI, QING China, 1644-1912. Seated in padmasana on a sealed double lotus base, his right hand in bhumisparsa mudra, while the left rests on his lap supporting the (missing) alms bowl, the robes finely incised, the curled hair and ushnisha topped by a lotus bud. Remains of lacquer-gilt and paint. Condition: Extensive wear and minor losses, the alms bowl is missing. Provenance: Czech private collection. Weight: 760.7 g. Dimensions: Height 14.7 cm.
