TWO BURMESE CARVED AND LACQUERED WOOD WORSHIPPERS, LATE 19th CENTURY Burma. One cross-legged male and one kneeling female worshipper, with original lacquer painting. (2) Condition: Some wear, age cracks, and minor chipping. Provenance: From the collection of Georg Weifert (1850-1937). Thence by descent in the same family. Weifert was a Serbo-Austrian industrialist and the first governor of the Federal Bank of the Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Weight: 15.4 kg in total. Dimensions: Height 53.8 and 55.1 cm.
