A pair of Continental gilt metal figural standard lamps, early 20th century, each with an electrical fitment on a ropetwist shaft; one cradled in the arms of a standing figure of Cupid, portrayed in youth, winged and lightly draped; the other held aloft by the standing figure of a maiden, probably Psyche, portrayed as leaning against a pedestal and nude but for drapery across one thigh; both on square section bases each raised on four paw feet, 156 and 163cm high overall respectively
