Condition report: The statuette-finials possibly original to the clock: Atlas & Fama, one Fama-figure with repaired/ glued arms. The bonnet and the hood of the clock with matching pierced motifs (hand-sawn), the ajour most likely original. The overall of the case with original thick veneer and in good condition with traces of age, some cracks consistent with age. Resting on original claw-and-ball feet. Polychromies of the dial face original, the allegories from the days of the week indication possibly restored. Silvered and restored cypher ring and with Roman numerals. Gilt centre of the dial face has been cleaned and possibly regilt. Inner lock of the door of the trunk possibly replaced in the past. The copper hinges original, the interior of the door with several labels, some dating back to the 19th century. The catgut chords and wheels of the weights replaced. The melodies possibly a later addition to the clock, the mechanism extensively cleaned and well maintained. The case of the mechanism extended to accommodate for the nesting chimes.
