This is a variation of a Lemoyne Star quilt, probably from the 1950's.. It shows an eight-pointed star within a larger eight-pointed star, with "stitched-in-the-ditch" threads and fine workmanship near the red diamonds at the points. The quilt is under glass, it has breathing room on the back, and it's well-preserved. The overall size is 20 1/4 x 24 1/4 in. wide, the sight size is 15 1/4 x 19 1/4 in. wide, and the quilt itself measures 12 3/4 x 12 3/4 in. wide. Provenance: the Hirsch estate.
