Late 3rd millennium BC. A silver stamp seal of roughly square shape, formed as four schematic birds with eight curved arms terminating alternately in trefoil shape or curved hook; decorated to the reverse to show four bird heads and four hatched fantails; loop handle to the reverse. 14 grams, 34mm (1 1/4"). The Signo collection, the property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s; collection number Y-827, academically researched and catalogued by the late Professor Lambert in the early 1990s.
