IMPORTANT PRINCELY TULWAR SWORD. Origin: Mughal India. Date: 1st half 19th c. Technique: Blade lighter grey, finely patterned wooz steel with gold inlays (koftgari), handle silvered with remains of gilding. Description: Made for the ruler of the princely state of Khairpur, formerly British India, today part of the Pakistani province of Sindh. Measurement: Weight ca. 0.75kg, complete length 96cm, blade 85cm. Signature: Sign. on the blade: Asad Allah Isfahani and also an Islamic calligraphy. Seal: Owner: Sergal Mir Ali Murad Khan Talpur (reg. 1842-1894). Condition A/B. Gash at the blade near the handle, tip broken. Provenance: -Private collection Frankfurt.
