A taxidermy diorama, late 19th century, displaying thirty various interesting and brightly-coloured exotic birds, to include a paradise tanager, a regent bowerbird, a waxwing and a crimson topaz, each perched on a branch, within a mahogany-veneered glazed case with ivory knobs, 99cm wide 25cm deep 69.5cm high Provenance: Made by the vendor's grandfather, George Hudson (1845-1914), who was a watch and clockmaker in Bradford, Yorkshire. Condition report: glass cracked, some splits and losses to veneer, one bird lacking from the bottom row
