William Raymond Dommersen (1859-1927) 'On The Amstel, Amsterdam, Holland' Signed l.r., inscribed with title and also signed verso, oil on canvas 50 x 75cm Condition report: Oil on canvas which is unlined. A small damage at the far left side has been repaired from the reverse with a small canvas patch. The canvas tension is slightly slack but in plane. There are a few raised age cracks in the upper half of the painting but generally the paint layer is in a very good condition. The varnish is yellowed but even and glossy. The gilded decorative surface of the frame is very worn and the glazing is dirty with numerous fly spots.
