Edmund Burton owned the manor of Wolfhamcote, Northamptonshire; it is now an abandoned village. There is a memorial to members of the Burton family in the market square in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Condition report: Both unframed, unlined and with scattered paint lossses and scratches. Both portraits inscribed on the stretcher "Dining Room".
