Thick potted vase of tapered compressed globular body, tapered gracefully toward narrow spherical neck gently wider and bulbous under the rim, supported on a concave splayed foot oval base. Two scrolling archaic pattern ribbon handles flanked from shoulder to the upper neck rim. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in lemon yellow underglaze base color which contrast against the famille rose design color. The main body delicately be depicted with several snarling huge five claws imperial dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-Shui waves in a dark brown color dragon squama rounded the vase. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity, the Li-Shui wave pattern which is known to be the abode of dragons. Repeating Taotie mask decorated on the upper mouth rim enclosed with double blue ring decorated on the Neck. The foot base rim decorated with repeated key fret and wavy cresting Lishui water.
