Al-Mawlid al-Nabi - Prayer book commemorating the birth of the Prophet
Arabic manuscript of 39 leaves on beige paper, calligraphed in beautiful and regular naskh in black ink on eleven lines per page. A beautiful illuminated frontispiece 'sarlowh' decorated with roses opens the manuscript, with the title in thuluth red slightly erased, on the first. The large spelling at the beginning becomes tighter from folio 5 or the text becomes poetic in two columns up to folio 37b. Titles in red thuluth. At the end, blessings to Sultan 'Abdul-Mejid and his armies.
Binding in red morocco stamped with golden geometric decoration, without flap and detached.
