Description
Translation provided by Youdao
10th-11th century AD. A fragment of a silver ring with enigmatic incised text in seriffed runes '* k[.]y kny [?] h[o]'. 0.51 grams, 18mm (3/4"). Property of a Cambridgeshire, UK, gentleman; acquired before 2000; formerly in an old Dutch collection. The runes are late (10th century or later) and appear to be influenced by contemporary Scandinavian forms such as ? for 'k/g' and ? for 'o'. [No Reserve]
