A substantial section of pale gold or electrum twisted bar (7mm diameter), originally cut from a massive multi-stranded neck torc, chopped either end creating a monetised piece of 'Hack' for Viking trade. 10.74 grams, 28.71mm (1 1/8"). Property of a UK gentleman; formerly the property of an Essex, UK, gentleman; acquired from a numismatic fair in the early 2000s; accompanied by an X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis table showing the elemental breakdown.
