A bronze vesica seal matrix with raised rib and suspension loop to the reverse, intaglio design of a profile bust left, bearded and wearing a cap, a star behind the head, a crescent and large hand above; incuse text surrounding '+CAPVT SERVI DEI' for 'the head of God's servant'; accompanied by a museum-quality impression. See Norfolk Heritage Explorer no. 37196, for a seal matrix from Norfolk with a similar inscription. 7 grams, 28mm (1"). Private collection, Cambridgeshire, UK; acquired prior to 2000.
