A late 19th century Anglo – Indian Raj unmarked silver salt, Kashmir Srinagar circa 1890 Of bulbous form upon a square base, with chased decoration in Rosette pattern below a stylised leaf border, gilt interior. Together with an early 20 th century Indian silver salt, circa 1930, the hemispherical bowl with chased leaf vignettes and removable interior liner, all upon an octagonal base. (2) Kashmir length – 5 cm / 2 inches Gross weight – 99 grams / 3.18 ozt It is interesting to note that an 1890’s Liberty catalogue Kashmir silver salts (erroneously described Kutch work) were sold as ‘Yuletide gifts’.
