A sterling silver two-handled trophy with lid. The body of the trophy has a gilded interior and heavy repousse floral decoration that flows onto the raised and scalloped base. The body is inscribed: "Ladies Challenge Cup presented to the 2nd Surrey Croydon Rifle Volunteers, by their friends issued to C. Browning Hall Esq., 1861, and to Captain Henry Bonus, 1862-1863." James Aldridge, London, 1861. The lid has a figural finial of a man holding a rifle (with Victorian hallmarks) and a gilded interior. William Ker Reid, London, 1837. Together with a silver ladies rifle presentation medal, inscribed: "Presented to the winner of the Ladies Challenge Cup, 1862, Captain Henry Bonus." In a fitted velvet lined case.
