民國乙丑年（1925）｜38x25.8cm｜瓷板下半部繪壯年男子一肩拉韁，背腹彎曲，使全力曳車。車上坐其婦人和五位孩童，載滿炊具食物，車邊跟隨一瘦小黑狗。瓷板上半部行書小字長題，轉錄百菊溪（名百齡，乾隆至嘉慶朝官員）文章。署名：「潘匋宇」，鈴印：「匋」「宇」「鼎鈞」「古歡」。｜後有吳少樵（1887-1968）長題跋「潘君匋宇為彩瓷名家，色色彩彩，惟妙惟肖，尤能匠心独运，不落恒蹊，偶見所繪曳車圖，頗寓凉意，窃嘆人生自少而壮而老，雖處境各有不同，而勞形于名利之場，大都為室家之計，吾少也賤，見失怙恃，終鮮兄弟，一身担柱，以妻孥之累，迫而為衣食之謀，應世无才，徒傷老大，今已四十年矣，瞻望前途，益增身世之感，潘君以是圖見赠，爰輟数言自笑亦复自嘲云。乙丑夏月少樵氏叙于珠山之寄傲山房」，鈴印：「吳氏」。｜參見：鄭年勝，刘楊所著：《景德鎮瓷板画精品鑑識》，上海2003年出版，第170-171頁。｜潘陶宇（1887-1926）字鼎鈞，号詹湖外史，画室名“古歡齋”，民国初年粉彩奠基人。“珠山八友”中的劉雨岑、程意亭、汪野亭均出自潘氏山門。｜PLATE WITH A MAN PULLING A CART.｜China. Republic period. Cyclically dated to 1925. Pan Taoyu (1887-1926).｜Porcelain, very finely painted in the colors of the famille rose. The man pulls the cart with all his strength. On this he caries his whole household, his whole life. His wife and his five children are sitting on it. Behind the cart a small black dog is running, obviously belonging to his family. The man holds the string of the cart on the shoulder and is bending strongly forward to get his life into move. In the upper half of the plate an essay of Bai Juxi (Qianlong to Jiaqing period) in beautiful cursive script in small characters. On the left a colophon of Wu Shaoqiao (1887-1968).
