German Polychrome Panel, dated 1546 Provenance: The Coats of Arms displayed appear to be those of the Fürer von Haimendorf family of Nuremberg of Furer von Haimendorf Arms. Ref: ‘Siebmacher’s Wappen-Buch’. Published in 1605 by Johann Ambrosius Siebmacher (1561 – 23 March 1611). Ambrosius Siebmacher was a German heraldic artist, copper plate engraver, etcher and publisher from Nuremberg. His works became an important source of heraldry of the German-speaking regions. The book represents the contemporary heraldry used during the final two centuries of the Holy Roman Empire, comfortably overlapping the date (1546) time of the Armorial panel. the panel 71cm high, 46cm wide
