‘Abd al-Hadi al-Sudi (d. 1525-26 AD): Prayers, signed Ilyas al-Naymani al-Salari, China, 19th century, Arabic manuscript on paper, 38ff., with 9ll. of black script per page, opening bifolio with 5ll. of black script and decorated with gold and polychrome, surah headings in red, final folio with undecorated medallion with inscription giving the title of the work as al-Mawlid [Mawlad?] al-Sharif and the date of 12 Rabi’ II AH 980, stating that it was copied in Xi’an, in original brown leather tooled binding, folio 24.5 x 18.5cm. 'Abd al-Hadi al-Sudi, a Sudanese, (d. 1525-26 AD) was a follower of the famous early Sufi 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani. The name of the sufi master ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani appears in the preface of the manuscript Please refer to department for condition report
