5th-3rd century BC. A gold penannular ring with coiled filigree to the shoulders, swivel carnelian cabochon bezel with intaglio gryphon. Cf. Chadour, A.B., Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 32, for type. 15.23 grams, 33.09mm overall, 18.20x19.62mm internal diameter (approximate size British N, USA 6 1/2, Europe 13.72, Japan 13) (1 1/4").
