A gold ring with ribbed hoop and expanding shoulders with central ribs and scrollwork meeting an oval setting enclosing domed oval cabochon gemstone, possibly moonstone or glass. 3.64 grams, 18.71mm overall, 15.29mm internal diameter (approximate size British D, USA 1 3/4, Europe 1.15, Japan 1) (1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; formerly in the private collection of an English lady previously living in Oxford; acquired on the UK art market from the mid 1980s.
