13th-10th century BC. A black limestone cylinder seal, drilled vertically for suspension; accompanied by a museum-quality impression and a typed and signed scholarly note issued by the late W.G. Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: 'In the middle of the design stands a god or hero, wearing a robe with a winged solar disc resting on his head. In each hand he is holding off a rearing winged quadruped. A terminal is formed of a crescent above a stand with unidentified object rising from the stand. This comes from Syria or Anatolia and dates to c. 1200-1000 B.C. It is a rare type, but crude in execution. It is in quite good condition.' 9.7 grams, 26mm (1").
