Han Dynasty, 206 BC-220 AD. A hollow-formed ceramic figure modelled as a female dancer wearing a floor-length robe, long sleeves concealing her arms and hands, with the right sleeve thrown over her shoulder, the left held by her side, hair extending down the back; pink, cream and black pigmentation surviving. 7 kg, 57cm (22 1/2"). From a west country collection in the 1990s; previously in a Hong Kong collection; accompanied by a copy of a thermoluminescence test report issued by Laboratory Kotalla of Germany, report number 48CM110520.
