1st century BC-1st century AD. A bronze upper staff terminal in the form of a closed crook with socket for attachment, the slender curved tip extending from the socket and ending in a stylised bovine or horse head with incised eyes, detailing to edges and the nose ending with small loop, possibly to receive a tassel; the socket with two cross pins to secure to a wooden shaft.
