Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: 'A contest scene of three figures, all on their hind legs, is shown. On the right is a hero with spikey hair succouring a bull in the middle, which is being attacked by a lion on the left. This is a peripheral Akkadian seal, c. 2300-2200 B.C. from Syria. It is in very good condition.' 14.3 grams, 45mm (1 3/4"). The Signo collection, the property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s; item number 2002; academically researched and catalogued by the late Professor Lambert in the early 1990s; and accompanied by a copy of a typed and signed scholarly note by the Professor.
