A haematite cotton spool-shaped cylinder seal; drilled vertically for suspension; the incuse design composed of two contest scenes: a rearing lion fighting a man; a rearing bull fighting a man; star in the field marking the beginning and end of the motif. Accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 4.98 grams, 19mm (3/4"). From a specialised collection of seals formed in the 1980s which were examined by Professor Wilfrid George Lambert FBA (1926-2011), historian, archaeologist, and specialist in Assyriology and Near Eastern archaeology, in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
