1200-1000 BC. A limestone cylinder seal with an archer aiming his bow at a standing figure; accompanied by a museum-quality impression and a copy of a typed and signed scholarly note by W.G. Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: 'Cylinder Seal of Grey and White Stone, 45 x 15.5 mm. On the right an archer in long robe aiming his bow at a standing figure in short kilt and with splayed legs, over a hill with three trees growing from it. This is a North-West Iranian seal, c. 1200-1000 B.C., a large seal of a rare type, but very worn.' 20 grams, 46mm (1 3/4"). The Signo collection, the property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s, item number 40; academically researched and catalogued by the late Professor Lambert in the early 1990s.
