A silver repoussé pendant with integral tubular suspension loop; it presents a disc on a rhomboidal platform, flanked by circular domes; a series of domes arranged around a central ring at the top; a pair of facing birds below. Property of a London gentleman; acquired on the London art market in the 2000s. The Amlash culture, also known as Marlik culture, is found in Northern Iran. This was one of the most distinctive Iranian cultures of the late second and early first millennia BC which had cultural contacts with the Assyrian Empire.
