A gold finger ring comprising three pieces of metal; D-section hoop, expanding shoulders and ellipsoidal bezel set with a carved bone figure of a crouching male; the figure's legs tucked beneath, the head resting on his folded arms; incised and inked details to the robe; underneath the bezel two Chinese characters ??, for a male servant who was the main official in charge of the affairs of the Queen’s Palace, a position mainly held by eunuchs. 6.61 grams, 30.56mm overall, 16.20mm internal diameter (approximate size British L, USA 5 3/4, Europe 11.24, Japan 10) (1 1/4").
