A group of three hollow-formed ceramic fertility idol figures of graduated size: the largest a bell-shaped body with elaborate headdress and exaggerated nose and ears, applied circular eyes, prominent chin, arms held at front of chest, hands clasped together below conical-shaped breasts; a second bell-shaped figure with aquiline nose, applied circular eyes, pronounced lips and chin, headdress, disc ornaments in ears, arms held at front of body, cupping breasts; a third figure with a 'figure of 8' shaped body, apparently seated? with prominent ears and lentoid-shaped eyes, some neck ornamentation remaining. 1.3 kg total, 10-24cm (4 - 9 1/2"). Property of a North London gentleman; acquired in London prior to 2000; previously in a 1970s collection. [3]
