A mixed group of three carved carnelian gemstones: one cushion-shaped with chamfered corners and sides and flat face featuring calligraphic inscription, brown in colour, pierced for suspension; one lozenge-shaped with flat face featuring a line of calligraphic script, dark pink in colour; one elliptical in plan with flat face featuring three lines of calligraphic script, orange in colour. 4 grams total, 12-14mm (1/2"). From the private collection of a London gentleman; acquired on the London art market; previously in a UK private collection. [3]
