A bronze statuette formed as a lion standing on sub-rectangular bases; broad shoulders with some mane detailing still visible, rounded ears, stylised face with wide eyes, fleshy muzzle and open mouth, tail held to one side of the body. 171 grams, 60mm (2 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired on the London art market in the 2000s.
