A group of four bronze brooches of graduated size, comprising: a bow brooch with broad leech-shaped bow, rectangular footplate with catch to one side, pierced ribbed headplate, round-section outer ring, spring and pin to the reverse; a bow brooch with lozengiform bow, footplate with catch to one side, round-section outer ring, round-section pin to the underside, still articulate; two smaller leech-shaped annular brooches, pins held in catchplates. 41 grams total, 21-54mm (3/4 - 2"). From an important Spanish collection, 1970-2010. This type of brooch is characteristic of mainland Iberia and the islands off the Iberian coast. [4]
