A vellum leaf from a Latin bible, each side with dense lettre bâtarde text in two columns of 44 lines; black ink text with red and blue versals and ornamental flourishes, verso with capitals 'S' and 'O', recto with capital 'Q'; text from the Vulgate (Sirach ch.34) with marginalia additions, drypoint layout grid and lines. 2.61 grams, 19.5 x 14cm (7 3/4 x 5 1/2"). Ex North London gentleman; formerly in a private collection formed between 1990 and 2000.
