A group of four British early medieval lead seals, each with modern impression and transcription: a 12th or 13th century discoid personal seal matrix bearing legend 'SI' MAGR'I WYMARIN', or 'seal of Master WD Marin', circular border enclosing a stylised wolf at the centre, remains of suspension loop, reverse featuring incised circular design bisected by four lines; a 12th century discoid personal seal matrix bearing legend 'SIGIL IOHIS PASSVANT', or 'seal of John Passavant', circular border enclosing stylised lis or flower at the centre, remains of suspension loop; a 13th century vesica-shaped personal seal bearing legend 'S' SIBILIE FIL WILEMI', or 'seal of Sybil daughter of William', ellipsoidal border enclosing a Christian cross flanked by two pellets at the centre, remains of suspension loop, reverse with border of pellets enclosing a stylised Christian cross with drapery(?) in relief; a 13th century vesica-shaped personal seal bearing legend 'S' WILI ROCEL', or 'seal of William Rocel', with ellipsoidal border enclosing an eight-pointed star at the centre. 77 grams total, 29-36mm (1 1 1/4").
