12th-15th century AD. A discoid-shaped personal seal matrix with squashed lug on reverse: central design features a cross with decorated arms and quarters, encircled by the legend '+ S . RAD . : BRVN', with retrograde 'N', thought to be the seal of a 'Ralph Brown'. 15.7 grams, 30mm (1 1/4"). Found while searching with a metal detector near Norwich, Norfolk, UK; accompanied by a copy of the Norwich Castle Museum report. [No Reserve]
