A Chinese blue and white bowl, Daoguang (1821-1850), the rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a wide flared rim, decorated to the exterior with four characters, Shan Gao Shui Chang (lofty mountains, lengthy river), each enclosed by a circle of ruyi-heads flanked by two of the Eight Buddhist Emblems among scrolling lotus, all between a ruyi-head and a false gadroon border, the interior centred with a stylised shou medallion below ruyi at the rim, four-character mark Daoguang Bingwu to the base corresponding to 1846, 16.7cm diameter For a similar lot, please see: Sotheby's, Hong Kong, 9 October 2012, lot 3084.
