此缠枝莲碗为康熙时期所首创，开有清一代内府膳碗之式样，此后历朝均循例烧制。其胎釉、青花发色各具时代特征，由此均可窥知每一朝瓷业水平之高低。此碗为道光御窑所出胎釉洁白坚致，青花发色鲜艳，尤其莲瓣绘画细致，线条流畅，为同类之精品。
