Dimensions: 3-1/4" H x 7-3/8" Dia. Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Blue & white dragon porcelain bowl. Potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick and bulbous body, with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the flaring mouth rim, raised on a small round, with slight concave footing. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the cobalt blue, depicted of snarling huge imperial five claws dragon careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves in a dark blue color dragon squama to chasing flaming pearl amidst flames and vapors. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings, Made in The Years of Kangxi Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
